My families house has homeowners insurance and Nichols was the company they used to send out to take care of our leaky water heater. The fellow who showed up was great at communicating his arrival time and knew exactly what to do. He had the tools and parts on hand and was done in no time flat. We were afraid he would need to go out for parts or try to upsell us.

Once again another 1 star! As other reviews I would also not given them any stars, but unfortunately that's not an option.Like other customer's complaints, this company has poor customer service in the office. My water heater busted and American home Shield sent this company out on an emergency call to assess the problem. The first guy who showed up was extremely nice and told me that the water heater was busted, which I already knew. Hetold me that they would try to have somebody out as soon as possible since I work from home and hot water is needed. Because it happened on New Year's Eve, American home Shield was close the next morning so the guy told me that as soon as they open back up that the request for new water heater will be put in, as it was. After receiving authorization approval from American home Shield I call this company to schedule an appointment the lady who was at the front desk told me that she could get me for Tuesday between eight and 11 this worked out fine for me because I was off.Tuesday morning comes around and between the hours of eight and 11 I'm sitting at the house at 11:57 I decide to call the company to see if there was anything that happened and why they could not make it during the window. The lady told me that she had me scheduled for Wednesday between the hours of eight and 11. This caught me by great surprise because I never agreed to an appointment on Wednesday between eight and 11 because I have to be to work at nine! After not getting anywhere with the lady I asked if I could speak to somebody else and she told me no there was nobody else that I could speak to then she hangs up on me. I call American home Shield back I speak to the authorization unit and they tell me that they can't do anything about it because of the simple fact that they can't control the scheduling through the company I'm highly disappointed and extremely furious at the fact that I have to go another day without hot water not to mention highly offended when they asked me if I could leave my garage door open for them to gain access to the hot water heater while I was not home. I told American home Shield I never want to deal with these people again and I highly advise no one else to use this company as well! The lack of customer service in the office is out of control and they should be shut down for that very purpose but the guy who was dispatched on the emergency call was nice. P.S. I still don't have any hot water!

It is sad that people who do their jobs well are hard to find sometimes I see some bad reviews but all I saw was professionalism during his whirlwind service call. Wish we had gotten a business card from him.

Like many others, I was sent to this company by American Homeshield. I called them at least 6 times throughout the day and they never answered. I called the emergency number after hours and they never answered that either, the voicemail was full. When I finally got in touch with a woman she was rude and nasty. I asked her about the lack of response to phone calls and messages. She told me they had a lot of calls and I shouldn't have called the emergency number anyways because my case wasn't urgent. My case was an urgent one by American Homshield standards. Long story short, American Homeshield called them and received rude treatment as well. They paired me up with another customer friendly company and reported Nichols for bad customer service. Hopefully they will be removed from American Homeshield contractors.

I was concerned because of the many bad reviews. But my warranty company uses Nichols. Jamie showed up early and diagnosed the problem with my well right away. He had the part with him and I was good to go in no time at all. I would recommend this company to others.

Nicholas plumbing was assigned to us through our warranty company. After reading the reviews I was nervous but decided to give them a try. The worker showed up when he said he would, put a temporary bandaid on our hot water heater, got us a new one once the warranty company approved, & showed up when he said he would to install it. He was very friendly & I would use them again. Don't always listen to reviews. We've been burned by companies with good reviews & obviously helped by those with bad ones.
